Invitations

We finally ordered the invitations! My Mom and I went to the printing shop on Good Friday. We wound up having to order 225 invitations - just plain crazy!! I wanted a big wedding, but I never thought we would have that many invitations! I am still waiting to receive the proof of the text. I decided to go with our names in a scripty font and the rest of the words in a plain font - kind of like on the sample. This way hopefully the invitation won't look so wordy and our names will stand out. We went with the response card postcards. They will save us one step in that we don't have to stuff them in an envelope and will save postage! We also ordered thank you notes. They will have the M in the background in a scripty font and our names on top of the M in a plainer font. This way we can use them for more things even after the wedding!

Here is the only picture I have of the invitation sample. The design is much more subtle in real life. It appears to just be a pearlized finish at first glance. You have to move the card to really see it. The flash made it really stand out though!
