Aunt & Uncle

SIL had her baby!! Hobbs Samuel arrived on May 24th.

DH and I are now officially Aunt & Uncle!

SIL lives in London and MIL lives here in Louisiana. MIL prearranged her trip to London and arrived there on the 21st for a two week stay. Luckily, everything worked out and MIL got to be there for his birth and homecoming. She will get to spend almost two weeks with her first grandchild and SIL will have a great help for the first two weeks of her child's life!

SIL is 35 and I know I was thinking she was never going to have a baby lol. She had talked about adoption before and I assumed that is what she was going to do. She is very career focused and they moved to London for her job. So when we found out last fall that she was pregnant, we were beyond excited. She hadn't told anyone that they were TTC. Of course I'd be more thrilled if she was closer, but SIL and the baby are supposed to come for a month in December! Very exciting!

SIL and my cousin who just had a baby both got married in 2005. So, it seems to be a tend in our family that you need to be married for 5 years before you get pregnant! My cousin's 6th wedding anniversary was the month before her son arrived and SIL's 6th anniversary is just a couple of months away. So, I feel like if I just make this timeline, I'd be good!

My sister will be married for 5 years this summer and is thinking about maybe TTC next year when she turns 30. We shall see if that really happens.

All of this just makes me reflect on what my TTC plan had been.
