Economy

The economy and the job market are scaring me!

I always knew I wanted an advanced degree, beyond the typical Bachelors/Undergraduate degrees. I never thought that after all this education was over that I would have a hard time finding a job. I thought I would have options, but that is no longer the case.

My friends who just graduated are having a difficult time finding jobs. Some are starting their own firms and taking whatever work comes to them.

One friend is worried he will be evicted because he is so broke and can't find a job. He at least has been going on interviews. He also did work for someone who hasn't paid him yet. He told me he doesn't even want to think about his loans.

No one would have taken out all these loans if they thought they would never be able to pay them back, or if they thought their monthly payments would be more than what they would make in a month.

DH tells me not to worry about finding a job. He keeps telling me to worry about passing the BAR first, after that to worry about finding a job.

Its just how can our lives move forward when we can't afford to live? I want a house and before we can buy a house, we have to be able to get approved for a loan. For that to happen, we have to have good jobs. After we have good jobs and a house then we can start thinking about having a baby.

I sure hope the economy picks up, so I will be able to find a job and start my true adult life!
