Holy Week

This has been a pretty good week.

We slow cooked twice this week. Monday we did Cream Cheese Chicken and Tuesday we did Garlic Chicken.

The Cream Cheese Chicken was supposed to be served over pasta, but ours came out more like the consistency of chicken salad. Monday night we did it over pasta and it was good, but was little hard to eat with the pasta. Tuesday for lunch we ate it on a sandwich and it was really good again. DH had it for lunch yesterday and it was good again.

Tuesday, we had SIL over for dinner because in-laws are out of town visiting other SIL in London for two weeks. SIL is in nursing school and lives at home. Since we have dinner every week at the in-laws, we treated SIL. We had garlic chicken and the house still smells yummy when you walk in. This time we did chicken breasts along with the drumsticks since SIL only eats white meat. DH made mashed potatoes and we put the broth from the garlic chicken in the mashed potatoes. It was yummy. SIL brought stuff over to make cookies, so after dinner she baked cookies and I watched and tried to help a little. This made me realize that making cookies from scratch isn't as hard as I thought it would be. I'm looking forward to making cookies on my own in the near future!

I'm off of school today and technically tomorrow, but I don't have classes on any Friday so not much of a holiday for me.

My sister, Mom and I are going to the Gulfport Outlets tomorrow. I want to go because it is the closest outlet with a Coach store and I'm wanting a new purse. I just think it will make me feel better about our precarious situation, I used to buy new purse often and I haven't bought on in a while so I'm missing having a new purse lol. I know stupid to buy something like a leather purse when you don't have a job, but yeah. Wish me luck on finding one I like!
