So Excited!!

I am so excited!!

The Bar finally has my name correct!! You can now search for me on their member directory and find me!!

Its the little things that count!!

Backstory:
After we got married, I knew I wanted to change my name. I also knew that I didn't want to drop my middle name that I was born with, that is on my birth certificate and that I've had my whole life! So, I decided I'd have two middle names. Since this decision, I realized that the world has not caught up to the idea of two middle names. They understand two first names and even two last names, but not two middle names. It is the most difficult thing!!

So, when I passed the Bar, I had to fill out this little card. Well, I get my bar card and try to search for myself on the website and I can't find me. I soon discovered that the Bar decided I had two first names, which I do not!

After this discovery, I checked the copy I had made of the card I originally filled out. There is a clear space between my first name and where I start my two middle names - so someone dropped the ball there.

I called the Bar and asked them how I was to remedy this situation. They said I had to send them a fax telling them what I wanted my name to be. I sent them a fax and even put "first name:" etc for each name. This somehow made them change me to having two last names. Now I put last name: M and they were still confused and somehow added my maiden name as the first of my two last names. This was in December.

A couple of weeks ago, I finally got back around to trying to deal with this, so I resent the fax from December because crazy me still had it. They promptly called me and said that this was too confusing and I needed to spell it out even more for them.

Well I had hand written the fax before because I don't have a real job, etc. So I decided they are so confused, I'd might as well type it because maybe they are just bogged down with confusion due to the presentation.

After this, they finally corrected my name!! Now everything is correct!

I don't know why but that makes me really happy.
