honeymoon?
i'm trying to figure out where to go on our honeymoon....any suggestions?
so far my ideas are sandals regency la toc in st. lucia or st. kitts & nevis or a carnival cruise to grand turk, nassau and half moon cay.so what do yall think?

ONE YEAR!
This time next year I will be married!! We will be at the reception at this time, perhaps about to cut the cake!!
I can't wait to be married and have all this planning over with. I can't wait to see my wedding pictures. I'm sure I'll be sad after its over with, but I'll be a Mrs.
I really can't wait until I have a new name.

Shoes & Dress
so i finally picked out, ordered and now have my shoes! they are so pretty! i need to take pictures of them. not sure if i will post a picture of them or not, still debating that. but let me know if you want me to e-mail you the pictures.
but that means that i also finally got my hollow to hem measurement! so my dress is now ordered! on saturday i got to put on my dress with all my undergarments and shoes! the store also just happens to have my exact size as a sample so i got to see how it would look. as someone told me, the veil does it - makes you really feel like a bride. they put a veil on me - not even one that i liked mind you - and i felt the tears coming! i think i'm going to wait to get the dress in before i order my actual veil though so i know the length to get because i want it to go passed the train. the veil they put on me was a cathedral length and it was too short. i think my dress will only need a bustle in regards to alterations, but that will not be an easy task!
Candace also tried on the bridesmaid dress i'm hoping to get and she loved it! it was a few sizes too small, but the general idea she got, she thought it would be very flattering on all the different body types. so hopefully that is the case.
i dont think my parents are really convinced on the color though. my mom thinks it will look pretty once everything is put together. but when my dad saw the color swatch he seemed kind of iffy. for me however, i loved the color swatch. it looked prettier this time than when i saw it a few months ago at another store. i'm very excited. i think it will be the sophisticated, elegant look i'm going for!
so i hope this year will go by quickly, but not too quickly!

Yay!
My parents ordered my slip for my dress from e-bay!! i cant want to get it in! i sure hope it is full enough! my first step to ordering the dress to my height! its the fullest they had without being a hoop skirt, so if its not full enough then there's nothing full enough lol bc i am not wearing a hoop skirt! that would be crazy. i cant wait for finals to be over so i can go to br and try my dress on! i hope they still have the sample in my size there!

Photographer!

just a couple of little things to go then no more wedding stuff for this semester!
i also made my first wax seals today! i’m very excited it was very easy to do! there are pics in my photos!
i’m going to Bridal World 2008 tomorrow! lol, hopefully it wont be too crowded and will be worth going to.March 31, 2008
Another Purchase
today i purchased a really nice wax seal! its a fleur de lis. there should be pictures in my photos. i think we’ll be able to use it on a lot of stuff and i got some awesome tips from the lady on how to mass produce them and not mess up envelopes.
so have any of you had experience with a wax seal? i’ve never done this before. any advice would be great! thanks!

One Month!
We have been engaged for one month!!
I am very excited to see that many things are taken care of! There is a deposit on the church and the reception venue!
We put a deposit down at Southern Oaks on Friday. My parents finally were able to see it. I’m satisfied, I found a place with my chairs that is relatively affordable for 300 people. My dad seems worried that we will not get 300 people, but I think the combination of my family and Jonathan’s family will more likely mean overflow then not making the number. Jonathan has a huge family and I have a decent size extended family. My only big concern is that Southern Oaks is going to be changing the floors from carpet to light wood color before my wedding. I dont know what this will look like, but the floor looks nice in other parts, I just hope its not too light or slippery! Also, I did like the carpet pattern, but oh well.
I also now have ring insurance! Now, I will feel much better during those few moments I have to take the ring off.
I dont think i’ll be able to do too much more in regards to planning for the rest of the semester, so i’m glad these big items are out of the way. I hope no one else has to plan their wedding during law school!
I posted the pictures I took at Southern Oaks on Friday in my Wedding Planning album. I also have a few pictures from the photographers I want in there.

Dress Decisions
so bridal boutique called me today.
my big decision is whether to order the dress to my height or not. everyone knows i’m really short hahaha. and i can order the dress to my height, but i need to have my slip, shoes, undergarments, etc in order to get the right measurement. it was one thing to be putting a deposit on my dress, its a total other thing to have to get all this stuff and so quickly. i was hoping to be able to look around for my shoes for a while. i dont want to be rushed into buying something that isnt the shoe! they said it doesnt have to be the exact shoe but a shoe with similar height. but what if the shoe i get winds up being higher heel?
so i’d like some advice...what would you do in this situation? if you were 5’1" and dresses werent made for your height? should i just suck it up and order it a lil longer or what? also, if you have already gotten married, where did you get your slip from?thanks in advance for all your help.
